ABOUT MONASH FUEL FROM WASTE
A student-led team at Monash University with the vision to create a more sustainable campus by converting food waste into biodiesel.
Using oleaginous yeast, we aim to use the sugars in food waste to synthesise biodiesel, which will then be used to fuel various vehicles around the Clayton campus. As opposed to traditional business models that endlessly consume resources we aim to build towards a circular economy by recycling waste.
